Project background
Automated warehouses have many moving parts — conveyors, sorters, lifts — each capable of stalling the whole flow. The client wanted consolidated monitoring that surfaced bottlenecks and failures in real time.
Challenge
Pulling data from multiple vendors' equipment into one coherent picture, and defining meaningful KPIs that reflected end-to-end flow rather than subsystem health alone.
Approach & solution
We integrated at the warehouse execution system level where possible and instrumented directly where it wasn't. KPIs were defined from flow first, then drilled down to subsystems. Live visualizations of bottlenecks became the default operator view.
Results & benefits
Response to flow issues accelerated, and root-cause analysis after events became far easier thanks to consolidated data. Throughput improved after the most common recurring bottlenecks were addressed.
